The Divine Invitation: An Invitation to Humanity - Alexander Brown
There is an ancient dream from God himself. It is an invitation to know him, and to show him to a hurting world. To be transformed, and to transform. In this short first volume, Alexander Brown begins to open up what all our faith communities could grow into.
Whether you are returning to faith, seeking out God for the first time, or a well seasoned traveler on this journey, our prayer as you read through this book is that you find your heart crying out, "yes" to every value.
May all of our communities be changed and enlivened by the powerful, but challenging ideas (put to us in reachable possibilities) in the ancient Christian texts.
About the Author
Alexander is a Pioneer Minister for the Church of England on the Isle of Man. He has one wife only, but two children - and all three are a delight. Alexander has three degrees (a B.Ed hons in drama, music and children's literature, a B.A. in theology, and an M.A. in theology too), and has undergone a further three years of training in order to become an Anglican Priest. That's a lot of training right there.
Alexander loves to teach and learn (and often the two combine). He has lectured degree students for two theological institutes, trained youth workers, formed a new-monastic community of leaders, written a number of children's books, and is now pioneering a fresh expression of church.
